We finally got to Florida around 4 on Saturday. We immediately had to get ready so that we could make our dinner plans at 5. After being in the car for 10 hours + a couple drinks, and a GREAT dinner at the Watering Hole we were out like a light at 9 o'clock. I will tell you, whoever said "you can get a Great steak" was right! Jeff had a steak and I had a k-bob. Both were Wonderful, and very filling. So, after only being here for a little bit, Florida won the first night by kicking our butts by 9pm.
Sunday we woke up and took a nice 4 mile walk. We had a wonderful time at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church. The palm service was enjoyable to be a part of. We immediately had a tee time for 12:30. We had a 7 man team, we split up into a 4 man group and a 3 man group. What a load of fun. After 9 holes, Grandma went back to the house and Jeff and I finished up the back 9 with Mr. Baker (one of Grandma's friends). We had a GREAT time. But, by the time we finished we were late for drinks and rushed to get ready. We had a great dinner at Red Lobster. Again, by the time we got home at 9:30 we were ready for bed. The sun sure does 'get ya'.
So....Florida's up 2-0. Let's see if Jeff and I can hack the heat today.
