Finally Home

WOW! What a GREAT Spring Break! The last leg of our trip was SO busy that I'm just now finding time to sit down and write. I'll try to make this short and sweet. The week in rewind:

  • On Monday I shot a 92. Might not sound like much. But, that's probably my best round ever. And, if the gator wasn't about to get me on the 17th hole I probably would have gotten out of the sand in one shot and have ended with an 89. O well. Damn Gators!
  • Traveled to Vero Beach on Tuesday! Beautiful town, beautiful beaches. We have been so tired that we took a little nap on the beach. Orange Mojitos are Tasty!
  • Wednesday I tried to play well again. Didn't happen. O well. Jeff says that you "ride the wave until it bucks you off". Well it definitely did, but it did NOT swallow me! Happily though, Jeff shot a 69. He's such a stud! All of Grandma's friends were impressed at dinner!
  • Thursday we traveled to Hilton Head. Wow, what a great place. Had a wonderful dinner at San Miguels where we sipped Margaritas and enjoyed the music!
  • Friday we witnessed the Heritage Golf Tournament. This was my first trip to a golf tournament and I loved it! So many people but still SO quite! Why can't school be this way? hahahah. We saw John Daly and Ricky Fowler up close and personal. Also, got to see some Great Golf being played. I wore a floppy hat - Jeff said I looked so Southern :) I definitely got some Sun that day. Ran into some friends from Charleston and had a wonderful time catching up!
  • Friday we made our way back to Hartsville. Went to a great kareoke party for another engaged couple. Jeff and I sang Twist and Shout and got the crowd all riled up! Becca and I sang our hearts out to Journey - Don't Stop Believing. It was a tribute to my good friend Laura! People said our songs were good, so I guess I didn't embarrass myself as much as I thought.
  • Sunday we hit up the golf course again and then enjoyed a wonderful Easter Lunch. We were ready to come home though and made it back safely!
A lot happened over the week. Big News for the Wedding though - We booked the Harbour Club. We will have a wonderful outdoor/rooftop ceremony then travel downstairs to dance the night away. We are Really excited that we have this part actually booked and can continue planning. Next step: finding a band and put the finishing touches on our wedding party!
Stay Tuned!
