Updates!

Hello!

Let me first start out by saying how overwhelmed I'm feeling lately. Obviously I must be the biggest procrastinator. We've been engaged since September and we just started really planning in April. I know that's one year away with a lot of time but I recently am like "Rachael, What are you doing? Get on the Ball!" So...with that I have been working on getting a photographer and looking at bands.

People - tell me what I should be looking for in photographers. There are SO many out there in Charleston, it's hard to decide which is the right one for us. I have been talking to this one guy and he has been so flexible and understanding. I hope I don't look like a fool when asking questions. I'm sure he already thinks I'm crazy. But, he's been great with my ideas and hopefully we will see if he's the one soon enough.

As far as bands, I want to make sure that these people ROCK out! I have a couple in mind and am just patiently awaiting quotes back from them. We have at least booked someone to play for us during the ceremony. I'm telling you, it's all about the people you know. There is a man from our church in Hartsville, SC who is willing to play for us. So, this is good and still we are making progress with our wedding.

The other night Jeff and I went to one of my friends weddings in Awendaw, SC. My friend's name is Cally, I was a Graduate assistant to her when I was going to school at the Citadel. She married Scott Eisberg, the local sports caster for channel 4 news. This couple is Awesome and Jeff and I were so happy to be a part of their wedding. They got married outside on a Plantation. It was Gorgeous. This was also Jeff and I's first Jewish wedding. Jeff got to wear a yamaka! The ceremony was wonderful, I really enjoyed how the Rabbi explained everything and it's true meaning to marriage. This was the first wedding in which I was actually engaged and I think the feeling was amazing. The fact that we are so close to that same day overwhelmed me and made me cry (I hate crying! HA). But, it really reminded me of why I can't wait to marry Jeff. Who else would you rather spend the rest of your life with then your best friend? Enough with the mushy stuff.........HAHA...

Other exciting news.....WE GOT A POOL TABLE....completely off the wedding radar. But, Jeff and I love to play so much that when the opportunity came to get one from a friend we jumped on it. I have a co-worker who is moving. I remember when she came in to my office just rambling about how if someone could come get it they would just give it away. I don't think she was ready for me to jump on such a chance. Regardless, it's ours now and we have already played a hundred times I think. hahaha...so much fun!

Crowfield is coming out with their new CD this weekend. Make sure you guys check it out on I-tunes. The CD is called Midwestern. You can actually hear their whole CD streaming on their website; www.crowfieldmusic.com. CHECK IT OUT!

Yes, I thought I was boycotting them as well since they said "no" to playing at our wedding. But, we can't help it, we like the band too much!

More updates to come. Also, Jeff knows exactly the men he wants to stand next to him. I'm just waiting on him to finish asking....Let him know maybe he needs to get on the ball with things. I'm sure he's tired of me telling him...hahaha......

Peace!
