Jeff's nickname is Shaggy. When I first met Jeff he had long curly locks making me believe this is why he got his name. Last year at Ben & Sarah's wedding, amongst all his friends, I found out the TRUE meaning behind the word Shaggy. Can you believe that his former 8th grade basketball coach gave him that name at practice one day? It has stuck with him and his buddies ever since.
When I used to work at the credit union (Yes, this is how we met, Jeff was my boss...scandalous!) my branch manager at the time called me Scobby one day. I came home to tell my roommate and from then on out she always called me Scobby. Upon one of our first dates, Jeff came to the house to pick me up. He said that when my roommate called me Scobby he about fell to the floor. That was the day he told me his nickname was Shaggy. Maybe, just maybe we were soulmates all along!
For me though, my nick name is Rock. My dad has called me that since I can remember. I even had volleyball and softball jackets with that embroidered on it instead of my real name. Although there are not many people in Charleston that know me by this name, I can always go back to Hartsville and be remembered when someone calls it out!
We came up with ShaggleRock through a wonderful 80's children's show called FraggleRock. It may be silly, but we had a good laugh when I started calling ourselves as a couple ShaggleRock.
